Our History
The Aknowingspirit community emerged from the completion of a book. A manuscript that was tucked away was given new life in 2016. Eventually, that manuscript would be published by a popular publishing house. Then after two years with that company, the book needed a new home. Instead of searching for another publisher, Candace, the company founder, decided to start her own publishing house—if only for her work. As fate would have it, soon authors, writers, artists, and creatives began reaching out for publishing help or professional support. Now, Aknowingspirit has thousands of followers, has worked with dozens of authors, bloggers, a Christian web-based TV network and a faith-based film company.
Candace Paul is a lawyer, author, professional artist, entrepreneur, and book publisher. Throughout her career she has helped government agencies, non-profits, and private companies with process improvement, quality assurance, strategic communication, legal, and policy development. Her goal for Aknowingspirit is to continue to write stories that encourage readers to find their purpose and grow closer to God, while helping other authors do the same.
